Norfolk Art
by Adam Jauczius

Norfolk Art is a showcase for artworks by Adam Jauczius (pronounced ‘Yow-chus’). Adam’s Lithuanian/German grandmother migrated to Australia in 1949 and he’s been painting since childhood. All originals, and reproductions, are by Adam; who’s also a Technical Officer at the local Weather Station. He came to Norfolk with his family in 2005, and loves depicting the Island’s unique scenery and people while monitoring Norfolk’s weather.

Adam’s successful artistic career includes group displays, stamps, books, commissions, awards, eleven solo exhibitions, and acclaimed portraits. The amazing reaction to his painting of Matt Zarb, a 2016 Archibald entry, encouraged Adam to open Norfolk Art in 2017.

Adam has also painted Arrernte elder, and performer, Warren H Williams for the 2018 Archibald, Mark Oats - The Bushwackers’ gifted, madcap fiddler - for the 2020 prize, and Bill Chambers - a great musician and Kasey’s dad/mentor - for the 2021 Archies.
